so i went to watch scoop on monday with jes, and huihui and her bf, and it was loooovely. what a fantabulous movie. i honestly loved it. short plot summary: american journalism student studying in london (sondra pronsky played by scarlet johansson) goes for a magic show by splendini (real name sid waterman, played by woody allen) and is randomly picked to take part in one of splendini's tricks. during the vanishing act, the spirit of newspaper editor and famous reporter joe stromble appears and tells her that he has important information on the tarot card killer, that peter lyman (aristocrat) is the killer. sondra and sid go on to try to gather evidence against peter, sondra falls for him, and complications arise.i don't understand why the critics said it was bad, it might not have been as flashy as matchpoint, but it was a good movie, and lemme tell u why.
1. hugh jackman. H O T. really, especially that scene where he's in the pool...holy manolos.
2. british accents. again, hugh jackman mainly, cos the characters played by johansson and allen are american anyway.i do love an accent.=)

4. woody allen: the guy is a genius. he's so hilariously funny!
so all in all, i'd say, go watch it before it finishes its run!also, guys will drool over miss johansson in a red swimsuit, and girls will drool over hugh jackman's chiselled torso *dreamy expression*.
